Thanksgiving Break is November 19-23. Students return to school Monday, November 26th. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! El día festivo del Día de Acción de Gracias es del 19 al 23 de noviembre. Food Drive Logo

CMS 4-H is hosting a food drive to benefit the United Methodist Church of Gonzales Food Pantry. Any nonperishable donations will be greatly appreciated. Students can bring items to homeroom November 7-14. The homeroom that collects the most food earns a donut breakfast.

The sixth grader beginner band demonstration concert is rescheduled for October 10th. Please note the change of date.

Duke Talent Search Qualifiers

10/02

Twenty-nine CMS seventh-graders were selected in the Duke Talent Search. Students qualify for the 7th Grade Talent Search by scoring at or above the 95th percentile on a grade-level standardized test. Enrollment provides benefits that last through the end of high school, including the opportunity to take the ACT or SAT, specialized publications, college prep advice, and access to educational programs.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is a national initiative to raise awareness of drug and alcohol use, especially by children. We combine it with an anti-bullying initiative. See the attached flyer for the theme for this year.
