1-Hour Delayed Start for DTHS, DTM & DTP

7:45 a.m Update
The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office (APSO) has reopened Highway 73. Dutchtown High, Dutchtown Middle and Dutchtown Primary are moving forward with the planned one-hour delayed start.

Please be patient as our buses run later than normal and parents work to get students to school safely. Despite the delay, we expect to have a good school day with normal dismissal times.

7:30 a.m. Update

Per APSO, Hwy 73 from Cobblestone to Hwy 74 is accessible to school traffic only

Posted 6:20 a.m.

Dutchtown High, Dutchtown Middle and Dutchtown Primary will have a one-hour delayed start due to an unexpected emergency that has closed Hwy. 73 this morning. All employees and parents of the impacted schools are asked to be on standby while we wait for the road to reopen. We will run our buses as soon as it is safe to do so.

Spanish Lake Primary (SLP) buses impacted will also be delayed by one-hour. If you would like to bring your child to school, parent drop-off will be at regular times at SLP. Of course, all late arrivals will be excused.
