A Holiday Message from the Superintendent

Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,

We know everyone is looking forward to the days ahead where we enjoy celebrating the holidays and the anticipation of a new year. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve this community and its children as public educators.

We continue to be grateful for the academic success our students demonstrate when measured by state testing and want to applaud their commitment and the commitment of their families. Of course, we also applaud the hard work of teachers, leaders, and all APSB employees for creating daily experiences that contribute to student growth and success. We also recognize that there are many great things that our children, our schools, and our employees do that are not measured by the state’s accountability system. We are proud to remain an "A" school district, but we clearly recognize that the work of everyone is more than an "A" as measured by the state. That work is a credit to everyone!
We wish each of you an enjoyable holiday season that is filled with good times, laughter, and moments that become great memories in the years ahead. We also wish for you a prosperous and favorable 2020 as we all embrace new challenges, enjoy current friendships while making new friends, and enjoy new accomplishments. We continue to embrace our values around service, teamwork, leadership, and learning and will stay the course of our commitment to be Excellent, Ascending Together. But for now, we too will rest and re-energize, ready to hit the ground running in January 2020!

Be safe and have a happy holidays!

Check out the holiday greetings from all of our schools!
