Driver’s Education (classroom hours) will no longer be included in Physical Education (PE) classes for high school students in Ascension Parish public high schools.

Due to new regulations, we are no longer allowed to teach only the classroom phase of Driver’s Education.  Since our schools are not equipped to provide the driving portion, we can no longer offer Driver's Education as part of the high school curriculum.

Parents should make arrangements with a private source to provide their child with the classroom hours as well as the driving hours required.  A listing of private sources may be found through the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicle’s website.
