Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,
We know you are anxious for updates about the next phase of our flood recovery. As stated in our video message
earlier this month, we experienced weather delays over the holidays that impacted the installation of temporary structures.
In order for temporary buildings to be ready for schools to move in, multiple construction deadlines must be met including final installation of buildings; construction of walkways and ramps; connections for electricity, water and sewage; installation of technology; delivery of furniture; and inspection and permitting. The inspections will ensure that these buildings are safe and ready for occupancy.
Due to the complexity of activities taking place at each campus, we created a Flood Recovery Campus Status Report
page on our website so that you can track the specific progress of each school. We will continue to update this webpage as work progresses. Additionally, in response to several inquiries, we created a Frequently Asked Questions
