Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,

The Thanksgiving Break is obviously the perfect time to express gratitude and count blessings.  With that, here are just a few points of gratitude to share with each of you.
It is with great pleasure that we, nearly 3,000 #AscensionStrong employees, work as a team to serve and lead our students daily to learn and develop technical, personal, and workplace/social skills that will be necessary for their success in post-secondary life. I would like to personally and publicly thank our entire staff for their ongoing investment in the lives of others. Our daily mission is to ensure that high quality classroom moments occur every day, every hour, and every minute.  It takes the commitment of all our employees to ensure that this happens.

Next, I would like to personally and publicly thank our students for their daily commitment and cooperation. As it has always been, moving successfully through one’s K-12 education requires commitment, perseverance, determination, and courage.  Our students work hard, and we are grateful that they take responsibility to achieve high standards and excellence each day in pursuit of, one day, earning their high school diploma.
And finally, I would like to personally and publicly thank our parents and community members. Thank you for your continued partnership in our mission to serve the Ascension community’s children. Your participation in school events and activities, as well as your partnership to encourage and support children to pursue and achieve excellence, is a blessing to us all.
I hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving. May you and your family be blessed with lots of laughter, full bellies, and great memories. And, may your holiday table talk be filled with a long list of items you are grateful for. You will each be part of my family’s thoughts and prayers this Thanksgiving.
