Ascension Public Schools to Close Friday, Dec. 8, 2017
Ascension Public Schools will be closed on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, due to winter weather. This decision was made in consultation with emergency officials out of an abundance of caution. Freezing precipitation is expected in our area on Friday that could cause hazardous conditions on elevated roads and bridges. This, in particular, has the potential to impact the Sunshine Bridge.
“It is never an easy decision to cancel school, but we will always put the safety of our students and employees first,” said Superintendent David Alexander.
