SUPER TAX DAY
FREE Tax Help by VITA (Capital Area United Way Parter)
EBR Main Library 
at Goodwood
Saturday, February 4
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
If you earned less than $54,000 in 2016, you can get up to $6,000 tax refund through various credits and deductions aimed to help working families.  Visit a VITA site to receive FREE tax preparation from certified tax preparers passionate about helping YOU! 
What to bring:
- valid photo ID
- Your W-2s and/or 1099s
- Your 1095A or other Marketplace insurance forms
- Social Security cards for you & everyone you claim
- Previous year's tax returns (if you have any)
- For direct deposit refunds, bring a canceled check or voided check, or your bank account number and routing number.

DUTCHTOWN HIGH TEACHER AUTHORS EDUCATION GUIDE

Dutchtown High School teacher Mandy Perret authored Challenging Common Core Language Arts Lessons, a book that can be used by parents with home schooled children in eighth grade. Pictured is Perret at a Jan. 7 book signing at the Citiplace Barnes and Noble in Baton Rouge. She will hold another book signing in March.

SORRENTO PRIMARY STUDENTS RECEIVE RAIN BOOTS
 
Sorrento Primary students show off new Havaianas rain boots donated by Au Pair Shoe Boutique. Students received the boots just in time for the cold weather last week.
