Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,

Our ambitious target of moving into temporary buildings on Feb. 3, 2017, is officially delayed. As stated in our video message earlier this month, we experienced weather delays over the holidays that impacted the installation of temporary structures. We have been able to recover some of that lost time, but unfortunately, we are still behind schedule.

Due to the complexity of activity at each site, we cannot yet project a new estimated date. However, we do know that St. Amant High School's move will be delayed by at least one week, and all other schools will likely be delayed by more than one week.

We anticipate significant updates to the Flood Recovery Campus Status Report webpage by this Friday. As soon as inspections are scheduled, we will be in a better position to announce move-in dates. We understand this is frustrating, but please know that we are getting very close.

Sincerely,

David Alexander
Superintendent
